As America turns 250 years old, I guess I’m not excited or hopeful. And I’ve been jaded too long to continue to dwell in nihilism. I’m more negative than neutral; I think I’m just disappointed.
I saw some military vehicles do a fly-by and a younger me would’ve been really enjoyed. I hadn’t seen the MV-22 Osprey in a while, so that was interesting. In general, it felt ho-hum given… everything.
On this day, my main wish is that America would be a beacon of peace, justice, equity, prosperity, healing, scientific and technological advancement, and human flourishing.
